The Problem

Being Overwhelmed by too many options and that too—unverified

Parents are inundated with choices when searching for childcare, making the process stressful. We developed a guided onboarding experience and tour booking feature that simplifies decision-making by personalizing results and streamlining the booking process.

How might we personalize the childcare search and streamline the process and the information for parents?

How I did it

1. Collaborated with UXR and PM to identify key user needs and opportunities and conducted different research studies to inform the direction.

2. Mapped out user flows and created wireframes to visualize interactions in AR.

3. Explored immersive AR interactions, balancing usability with the technical capabilities for smart glasses.

5. Worked closely with overall design system team to design and incorporate new components related to communications in immersive space

6. Built prototypes and conducted user testing to iterate on designs and ensure seamless translation experiences.

Impact I was designing for

By integrating live translations into smart glasses, I was trying to reduce dependency on external devices, allowing users to naturally engage with their environment while seamlessly translating text and speech—making everyday interactions more fluid and accessible.

What I learned

This project reinforced the importance of designing for seamless, in-context experiences and underscored the challenge of translating complex interactions into effortless AR experiences while keeping user attention intact.

Booking Tours:

We implemented a streamlined tour booking system that allows parents to schedule tours with preschools directly through the platform, simplifying the entire process of selecting and visiting schools.
